First for Schools
During term time First for Sport is able to offer Schools a range of coaching sessions that can be structured to individual school/class requirements. PE lessons during school time can be used to assist with teachers' planning, preparation and assesment time.
Lessons are tailored to meet the National Curriculum standards for Key Stages 1 and 2. All types of physical activity can be catered for based on age and individual ability. School sessions tend to be multi sport/multi activity with the emphasis on developing children's hand, eye and foot co-ordination as well as developing general skill and strength.
Coaches are assigned to schools/classes on an individual basis for a whole term/school year. This is seen as an essential element as it allows coach/pupil relationships to be established. The coaches work closely with class teachers to ensure PE/games sessions are tailored to meet requirements. Guidance is also provided on the progress and the level of the individual pupil's achievements/ability. This information is then used for National Curriculum assessment purposes.
After School Programs
We currently offer a variety of sports programs. The school can choose a specific sport or a multisports/skills program.
The single sport, usually covered over a term, will be broken down into sections with a different skill being taught at each session

5

6

A multiskills course, again runs over a term, will include a different sport each week.
Example: Multiskills 5/6 weeks

| 3 | Football |
| 4 | Tennis |
| 5 | Tri-Golf |
| 6 | Cricket |
Each child will be rewarded with a certificate and medal for attending the course. We also have a 'Star Performer' award, where the child who shows first-rate progress and attitude in the session is allowed to keep the Star Performer trophy for the week. We feel that this gives the children a goal, something to work hard for, and having fun in doing so.
All the sports will be dependent upon the weather and the facilities available at the time. All of which can be discussed beforehand.
